100+ Journal Prompt Ideas to Discover Who You Are

One of the most important things in life is knowing who you are. It’s crucial to know what you want in life and where you want to go. If you’re unclear on these critical components, it’s going to be very difficult to get from point A to point B.

Finding out this information about yourself isn’t always easy though. There’s a lot of different techniques and habits you can cultivate that help you discover more about who you really are.

One of my favorite ways to do this is journaling. I journal just about every single day, and it brings me a lot of clarity and helps me navigate my emotions, hardships in life, my past, as well as the things I want for myself in the future.

If you’re not used to journaling and don’t have too many ideas on where to start, this list of journal prompts will help you address all the right questions and lead you to learn a lot more about who you really are and what your purpose is in life.

It’s very important to be honest with yourself when you journal, to ensure that you’re really acknowledging what’s inside of you and what you need to analyze. The more you open up to yourself, the more you will discover the right path for you and avoid making mistakes that will take you down the wrong road.

This list will give you some ideas for a starting point, but you can allow yourself to go off on other tangents and onto other topics if it feels relevant to you or sparks something within you. If you feel the need to get it down on paper, don’t be afraid to do so, in however many paragraphs or pages you need.
